We had a nice day and my husband was pretty happy. We went to visit my father in the morning, then we were off to put-putting. It was a perfect day for that...and of course, Lenny beat us all. We had a quick lunch at Taco Bell, yummy, then we snuck in to an early show at the Howell Theatre to see Kung Fu Panda. That was a cute movie. Then we headed to my in-laws to eat some yummy roast with my father-in-law. So all in all, it was a fun filled family day. I hope everyone enjoyed spending time with their father and celebrating them.

Now today, it was a new day. I finished another session and have 3 more to go before my next session on Wednesday. So, while sitting at the computer proofing, I had the television tuned on to the U.S. Open with Tiger Woods and Rocco Mediate. It was AMAZING! The best golf I have seen. The whole weekend watching golf, not my typical weekend, but when Tiger is playing, I enjoy it. Yesterday was awesome, to the very end. Watching that last putt by Tiger, sending them into another round of 18 was so exciting. Then today, the whole day was crazy. Neck and neck, then 1 up, even and under, it was just mind blowing and disturbing at the same time. I had knots in my stomach because it was so close to the very end, especially when they had to play another hole, leading into sudden death. I really had such a fun time watching it. I love Tiger Woods! I did feel a bit hopeful for Rocco Mediate, because he played so well and fought to the end, but when it was all done, I was so happy to see Tiger win it. He truly is the best golfer in the world. And although my husband plays golf, and I have attempted to play it, I have never been one to sit and watch it. But years ago, I was mesmerized by this young, cute player named Tiger. His whole story, his background, is so interesting. Today, what made the moment even more special was seeing his wife and soon to be one year old daughter, out on the course with him. It just put a smile on my face.

Anyhow, congrats Tiger! Maybe by some fluke he'll stumble upon my blog and see that I am a fan and maybe ask me to photograph his family. Gosh, what an honor that would be. A girls can dream, right??!

Have a good night!

2008 Grads, Congrats!

I wish you all the best now and in the future. We wanted to decorate his truck to show him how much we "loved" him. When we pulled up to the school I was tickled to see what was in the parking lot. Below you will see what I saw, and I had to say it: Only in Fowlerville will you see "autos" like this. It made my day!

<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_5q8A3XqmiPU/SEc46EONWoI/AAAAAAAAAM8/FgzIoa5kLtQ/s320/IMG_7061.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5208194064294173314" />

<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_5q8A3XqmiPU/SELH8wca68I/AAAAAAAAAMs/Tn49ZqSUDMg/s320/IMG_7067.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5206943965803899842" />

<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_5q8A3XqmiPU/SELCTOyMDgI/AAAAAAAAAMk/PEzIO2xIe7w/s320/IMG_7063.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5206937754835619330" />

<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_5q8A3XqmiPU/SEc46vFJa6I/AAAAAAAAANM/qtDlykNFM9Y/s320/IMG_7068.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5208194075798891426" />

After photographing them, we went and continued on with our mission onto Spencer's truck.

<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_5q8A3XqmiPU/SEc46qWJ7QI/AAAAAAAAANE/mTan7nPVbjE/s320/IMG_7060.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5208194074528050434" />

<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_5q8A3XqmiPU/SEc814HpglI/AAAAAAAAAN0/iOPxYEkle6U/s320/IMG_7077.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5208198390372467282" />

My husband, Lenny, surprised Spencer with silly string! Unfortunately, I don't. I didn't get enough entries to hold the contest. A total of 8 "Hot Dad" participants; what a bummer. But I want to say thank you to those who did email me with heartfelt words and photos of their nominees. A big thank you to Marilyn, from Last Chance Rescue, who did her absolute best to get more applicants. I am truly sorry that this contest didn't work out, but I promise that I will get creative and think of another way to raise money for that organization. I don't know what it was that I couldn't reel them in; I had a lot of inquiries, which gave me hope. They are a great bunch of teens; smart, funny, talented and cute. I feel so lucky to have them representing Karina G Photography. I apologize on the wait, but with my website and email being down last week, I have been a busy camper. Anyhow, I hope we are back on track and ready to tackle the high school senior season. I am so ready! I am trying something new - stepping outside the box. I hope you all will join me and have some fun!!

It is going to be HOT, fun and worthwhile, while supporting the Last Chance Rescue in Howell!

In honor of Father’s Day next month, I am having a HOT DADS contest. I know we have some pretty amazing father’s out there, so let’s show them off. We’ll have a contest, I’ll photograph the winners and then put them in a calendar which will be sold to the public and ready for distribution in October. Portions of the proceeds will be donated to help support The Last Chance Rescue in Howell, www.LastChanceRescue.org where they are always helping animals. My sister, Jessica, is one of their best advocates and always adopts or fosters dogs from them and she has helped many people see that it is better to adopt or foster animals from the Last Chance Rescue. It is a great organization, and I hope everyone will check them out and get involved somehow. This contest is all in fun for a great cause - I cannot wait to see how this turns out. A photographer friend is doing something similar to this in another state, which inspired me to try it out. I sure hope I get a lot of participants.

Make sure you pass this along to family and friends. Let’s have some fun together. I want to see your HOT DAD nominee and hear why you think he is the HOT DAD for 2009. Remember, looks aren't everything, HOT can be many things, so tell us why he is HOT.

Here’s the scoop:
There must be at least 25 participants in order for the contest to take place; I want it to be fair and fun - so PLEASE start submitting your nominees!
Entries will be accepted from May 1, 2008 through May 31, 2008
Voting will take place on the blog from June 1, 2008 through June 14, 2008
Winners will be announced on Father’s Day - June 15th, 2008
Sessions with the winners will be scheduled for July and August
Calendars will be ready for pre-sale in July and will remain on sale through December 31, 2008.
Calendars will be distributed in October for any pre-sale purchases, then delivered as sold through the rest of the year. I cannot believe I have a 16 year old because I still feel soooo young. I just turned 37 in March, so I think I am still on the young side of the spectrum. Anyhow, we held off from getting his license right away for several reasons. But as of this past Thursday, our son, Nathan (better known as Nate), now has his drivers license! Holy moly! It's a parent's dream to see such an accomplishment. A special moment for him and for us. We are proud of him and happy that he has reached his day of independance. I have to say though, that when he asked to use his father's truck that evening, all alone, my heart sank, I took a deep breath, and smiled. And then when he went and asked his sister, Kayla, if she wanted to take a ride to Taco Bell with him, whoa, I about fell over; seeing how they usually cannot be in the same room together for more than a minute, sometimes less. Anyhow, when she accepted a ride to her grandmother's instead of Taco Bell, it really was a milestone. Maturity HAS to come with the drivers license... Before he left we gave him the whole lecture that parents give, wear your seatbelt, drive slow, come straight home, etc. Then as they drove off, my husband and I looked at each other, laughed and then both smiled not saying anything, but we both knew what we were thinking - please be safe. I quietly said a prayer and went on with what I was doing. We did call him a couple of times, um just to see how the truck was driving for him and well, to see if it was raining in town (any reason to call), and thankfully he returned home safely. It was a proud moment. Now, we just need to find him a car so he doesn't drive us nuts asking to use the car. Oh and if you ask, "where are the photos?" I'll tell you, I so wanted to snap some shots during his "photoshoot" at the Secretary of State, but held off, cuz I know he would have been so embarrassed. There were too many people around and I just had to keep the camera in my purse, but I did take mental photos that I will never forget. Here is a semi-recent shot of Nathan I want to share.

<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_5q8A3XqmiPU/SAOOGRUjVeI/AAAAAAAAAK8/o2qENH-ejOE/s320/Nate.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5189147434040907234" />

What would you do?

So, I am in the middle of watching "Oprah's Big Give" show. Where did the first three months of the year go? Hopefully soon this snow will melt, the sun will shine and the flowers will bloom. Have I told you that I am ready for summer??

We celebrated with our family today. We had our Easter dinner at my mother-in-law's home and feasted on a delicious turkey with all the works. YUMMY! It is always so much fun when the family gets together. I feel blessed to have such a fun loving family. We are all pretty close and what I love the most is that "my side" of the family always celebrates the holidays with my husband's side of the family. So we really don't have to do the bouncing from house to house. It just works out so nice. The children had the traditional easter egg hunt, but because of this lovely weather we got last night, the hunt took place in the basement rather than outdoors. It all worked out well though and the kids found all the eggs. We also had an extra special visit today from the Easter Bunny (a.k.a. Nathan, my 16 year old son). He visits us every year. This year my youngest, Bella, was absolutely terrified of him though. I mean, TERRIFIED. Poor girl wouldn't go near him - just sat and cried. I felt so bad. It's the whole "I can't see his real face" kind of thing. Anyhow, I wanted to share a couple of the snapshots I took of the Easter Bunny. The first is of my brother, Art, lovin' on the bunny. Isn't that just so cute!

<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_5q8A3XqmiPU/R-XSIkYuubI/AAAAAAAAAKs/rqzBPq_0J8A/s320/CIMG0284.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5180777991007812018" />

The next is of Great Grandma, bless her heart. She just was so game for getting a photo with the bunny. She is one lively, go lucky lady in her young 80's, completely a hoot to be around. We always know we will have a good time with Grandma around.

<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_5q8A3XqmiPU/R-XSI0YuucI/AAAAAAAAAK0/RIL0RmCL4Ak/s320/CIMG0286.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5180777995302779330" />

Oh ya, I wanted to tell you something very important. Tonight I learned the "Soldier Boy" dance!! Well, sort of! My daughter, Kayla, and my sister-in-law, Stacey, and I practiced and practiced. I rediscovered that I am not the most coordinated person when it comes to dance routines. It actually brings back some really bad memories from high school...pom pom tryouts. OY... Anyhoo, it was so much fun making an attempt to do the Soldier Boy dance. Nathan even got up there to try it. My husband showed us his moves too, with the Running Man and the Roger Rabbit. No one can dance like my man! What a riot. A family that dances together, stays together.

Well, it's time for the Easter Bunny's assistants to help out with the baskets and stuff. The eggs need to be hidden, the baskets need to be filled and it's already midnight. I wish you all a very relaxed and happy Easter holiday.
God Bless...

What a nice day!

I thought that Thursday was a very nice day. Somewhat Spring-like and not so cold, like it has been here lately. It was so nice to go outdoors without that heavy winter coat, and my Bella, was all about that. She even dusted off her patton leather shoes today and danced her little dance because of the warm weather. Now she is more anxious than most, I think, about the summer weather; she is constantly asking me when she can go swimming in her pool. Just a couple more months baby!

Okay, so I wanted to post just a few photos that I have taken in the last couple of weeks. First I will post the most recent, of some new clients that came by last weekend. This family was so much fun, totally relaxed and game for anything. The kids were sweet and playful, and that little Abigail was my best model, ever. Jen, here are a few shots for you to have a sneak peak at. I will get you the rest a.s.a.p.

<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_5q8A3XqmiPU/R9oHI6EwL0I/AAAAAAAAAJs/RjZ7ZvRUQc8/s320/a.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5177458571225345858" />
<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_5q8A3XqmiPU/R9oHJKEwL1I/AAAAAAAAAJ0/QFNkByKOLOQ/s320/c.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5177458575520313170" />
<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_5q8A3XqmiPU/R9oHJaEwL2I/AAAAAAAAAJ8/tAadLY5WNIg/s320/family.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5177458579815280482" />

Now, these next couple of photos are of a high school senior, Theresa, who came with her boyfriend, Corey. A little on the shy side I guess you could say, but boy, you can't tell by looking at her photos because they are beautiful! These are just 2 of my faves from her session; and I had to get a "couples" shot. Young love, ain't it sweet!

<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_5q8A3XqmiPU/R9oJR6EwL3I/AAAAAAAAAKE/2Lw1HT4qKtQ/s320/Theresa.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5177460924867424114" />
<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_5q8A3XqmiPU/R9oJR6EwL4I/AAAAAAAAAKM/QamhSWvXM7I/s320/ct.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5177460924867424130" />

Last 3 for the night, then I am off to catch some zzzz's. I wanted to photograph my Bella with a pettiskirt that I recently purchased. So she called her best friend, Jesse, and both of them got dressed up and modeled for me. I also shot some of Jesse's brother, Justin, who is such a cutie. He likes to model for me so I will be getting some more of him in the warmer spring days ahead. Hope you enjoy them. Have a good one!

<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_5q8A3XqmiPU/R9oK7qEwL5I/AAAAAAAAAKU/h4zrIDs-pHo/s320/B.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5177462741638590354" />
<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_5q8A3XqmiPU/R9oK76EwL6I/AAAAAAAAAKc/aS1vZsI9oYI/s320/bff.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5177462745933557666" />
<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_5q8A3XqmiPU/R9oK8aEwL7I/AAAAAAAAAKk/LJhkXc-xm6c/s320/j.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5177462754523492274" />

Looking for some Models...

I will post more later, but I wanted to at least get the word out here. The high school senior season is approaching fast and with that comes Senior Models. I am in search of a few junior students graduating in 2009 that would like to represent Karina G Photography. There will be some perks along with the title of Senior Model; more to be announced later. For now, I am looking for boys and girls from local area high schools (Hartland, Howell, Fowlerville, Brighton, etc.) who are photogenic - meaning comfortable in front of the camera and not shy, and who dress to impress. I need people who will spread the word about Karina G Photography to their friends, recruit them to get their senior portraits taken by me, and available to "work" at some expo's and/or marketing events (handing out cards and information for me). Fun and friendly personalities are a must. If you think you know someone who fits the above descriptions, have them shoot me an email to karina@karinagphotography.com or call me at 517-546-6654. I will be having a Senior Model get together soon. I graduated from Howell High School and have lived in Howell my whole life, so although I truly want reps from all the schools, I would love to get some models for Howell High to get the "in" there.

Maternity Models
I love photographing high school seniors, love it. But, I am also passionate about maternity and newborns also. I think I can relate so well with my maternity clients because I was in their shoes, too, carrying my children. So, helping to make a mother-to-be feel glamorous and even more beautiful is just up my alley. I have some new things that I want to display, I just need some maternity models to help me out. I am looking for a few, maybe 3 or 4, women who are about 32 to 37 weeks pregnant, comfortable in front of the camera, open to new things and willing to try some new poses for me. Again, I know that some women may be a bit hesitant about showing off their bellies at this time in their life, but I promise, it is well worth documenting. I will go into more detail with my models on what is in store for them once I get some interest. Please shoot me an email at karina@karinagphotography.com or call me at 517-546-6654, if you or someone you know is interested.

Winter Wonderland...again!

Yup, we got it again, huh? Woke up to what you see below. It was pretty, I have to admit. I normally am not one to run out and shoot the white snow; nope, not me. I do not, stress, do not like the cold weather, slush, ice, shall I go on? lol. I am just not the outdoorsy kinda gal, unless it involves a beach and cabana boys (men)..hee hee. But seriously, um, where was I going with this..um, oh yes, the pretty snow that accumulated today. The first photo is of our tire swing, which gets so much use in the summer months. In the distance you can see "Bella's Place", a lovely retreat that my father-in-law genius built for my baby. The house and the swing are so lonely right now; awaiting the touch of a child's hand to feel alive again. Soon enough, I hope. The second photo, self explanatory, the tree in my front yard. I couldn't step back too far to get the whole tree, because, well, that would have meant I had to actually step into the snow and risk getting my lens sprinkled with snowflakes. Didn't want to chance it...so these were taken from a distance (porch and deck).

<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_5q8A3XqmiPU/R8SXV2EreNI/AAAAAAAAAJc/NIP5yrbZrH4/s320/swing.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5171424673676359890" />
<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_5q8A3XqmiPU/R8SXV2EreOI/AAAAAAAAAJk/vOB21l-Y7dg/s320/barebones.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5171424673676359906" />

Hi Jessy... big wave to you. I hope you made it home alright after yoga class. Glad you came to visit my blog today.

Oh well, I think I have to go take a nap for a little bit since I hit the sack at about 4:30a.m. this morning. Sleep is a must right now, before I continue on with the pile of work I have on my desk. My belly is full with some yummy chili that I made, my feet are cozy warm with my Dreamfoam slippers, and my Tempurpedic bed is calling my name. I have actually been photographing that little guy, Jaden, since he was 6 months old, and now I am honored to be photographing his little sister, baby Laney. I have to say, I could have gone on and on with this session, because 1., I am an overshooter and 2. the family was a delight! Laney was the chubbiest baby ever...so stinken cute. She is such a happy little girl and her big brother loves her. Jaden was a good little boy throughout the whole session and has definately grown up. I hope to be photographing them for the years to come. Jen, here is your sneak peek. I'll get the rest to you as soon as possible. But aren't these darling?? Can't wait for her 9 month session.

<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_5q8A3XqmiPU/R8NLVmEreLI/AAAAAAAAAJM/wFdH6HYSj4U/s320/IMG_5216.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5171059631520970930" />
<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_5q8A3XqmiPU/R8NLV2EreMI/AAAAAAAAAJU/mTkSEIY6PKI/s320/IMG_5148.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5171059635815938242" />

It's a new year and so far I am loving it!

Besides the snow, that is. I am not a snow person. None of us are in my family, actually. Sure, the occassional snowboarding or sledding, but for the most part, we love the sun and warm weather. We were THIS close to moving to Florida last summer...so close to warm weather all year round, so close to being only a couple of hours from Disney World, so close to the ocean and so close to no more snow! Ugh, the thought of it just depresses me, lol. Of course we would have missed our family like crazy, but they would have visited often, and vice versa. Anyhoo, I suppose the summer weather is just around the corner, right? I sure hope so.

One thing I am grateful for in Michigan, is my clients. I have made some really great friendships throughout these past few years and my clients are wonderful supporters and loyal. Word-of-Mouth advertising has been working awesome. Thanks to all of you who just like to spread the word about Karina G Photography.

This past week I was honored to photograph this lovely family who came to me through the Celebrating Adoption sessions I offer. They heard of me through one of my high school senior clients who happened to show her teacher her photos. So thanks Natalie, and thank you Candy for sharing your beautiful family with me. It was fun getting to know all of you and especially your gorgeous son. What a blessing! Here is a sneak peek for you. The rest of the session is soon to come.

<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_5q8A3XqmiPU/R7sNWmEreJI/AAAAAAAAAI8/Vqmwg-MZ7Sk/s320/Candice02.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5168739679166232722" />
<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_5q8A3XqmiPU/R7sNW2EreKI/AAAAAAAAAJE/jjEy2eRw3L4/s320/Candice07+joe.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5168739683461200034" />

My how time flies by...Sorry to be gone for so long. I try to remind myself to post on my Blog, it's just so hard. Time just gets away from me. But come December, I will be posting some images from this past year that just haven't made it to the Blog yet. I will be updating my website with some really great images that I have shot over the past few months and be on the look out for my new Seniors Only site. I will be launching it soon to focus only on high school seniors. Karina G Seniors is what I am going to call this new addition to Karina G Photography. I am hoping it'll be a fun place to catch up and show off the latest of the area seniors. I am excited to get it launched, so please keep a look out for it!

Now, I am adding just a few photos from a few sessions that I have done in the past couple of weeks. I have many more sessions to proof, and once I get them done, I will post some here.

<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_5q8A3XqmiPU/R0DuadoKKcI/AAAAAAAAAH8/kYHthg_FWsg/s320/B.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5134365713599441346" />

<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_5q8A3XqmiPU/R0EYm9oKKdI/AAAAAAAAAIE/CdzGjIKa0N0/s320/B+2.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5134412107836172754" />

Above, this is a friend of mine, Jules and her son Brent. He is one handsome guy and his mom has been wanting photos of him for a while now; and finally, we snuck out at the end of the day and captured some. Jules, I love these. There will be a few more to come, soon.

<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_5q8A3XqmiPU/R0EZdNoKKeI/AAAAAAAAAIM/DCJvVbAzWHc/s320/Nat.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5134413039844076002" />

And this young lady is Natalie. I had so much fun photographing her for her senior portraits. She brought along her mother and we laughed the whole session. Thanks Natalie for making my job so easy. Trevor is the son of one of my best friends, and I have watched him grow up through the years. So before the session began, as he drove down the road towards me on his motorcycle, I caught myself getting choked up. I couldn't believe it was time for his senior portraits. Anyhow, we had a blast and he made us laugh hysterically. Katie, I'll finish these up too, as soon as possible.

<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_5q8A3XqmiPU/R0EejtoKKgI/AAAAAAAAAIc/UPYKsBN06fY/s320/Trevor.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5134418649071364610" />

<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_5q8A3XqmiPU/R0EejtoKKhI/AAAAAAAAAIk/DWAB0UUyCbE/s320/Trevor2.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5134418649071364626" />

Last, but not least, for now, is Mandy. Her senior session was great. She brought along her parents and brother, and they all helped out with something. Mandy is one of the nicest girls around and "the apple doesn't fall far from the tree." Her parents were awesome. I love it when I see the whole family involved and with them, I saw how very close they all are. It was such a fun session. Thanks "reflector guy".

<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_5q8A3XqmiPU/R0EqL9oKKiI/AAAAAAAAAIs/2UO-tEHYkmk/s320/M.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5134431435189004834" />

<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_5q8A3XqmiPU/R0EqMdoKKjI/AAAAAAAAAI0/talZKVaDKZQ/s320/m2.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5134431443778939442" />

Update on our schedule: This week, November 18th through 25th we will not be taking any sessions due to the holiday. During the last week of November I have just a couple of openings for sessions, then will be VERY limited in the month of December. I will photograph Newborns, 2 weeks and younger, in the month of December, and MAYBE a couple other sessions; but I am committed to taking most of the month off to reconnect with my family and to work on some marketing and updates for the following year. So, if you find yourself needing portraits taken in the month of December and are in no rush for them, give me a call; I will do my best to work with you. My regular schedule opens back up on January 7th. Expect many new things added in the Specialties area and really cool collages for upcoming Seniors.

I will post some fun shots I took of some pretty senior models down in Kentucky (actually that's where I am right now). While here, I also got some fun shots of my darling little one too. So check back for those. Now, off to continue proofing....wish me luck, for an early even full of some good sleep before the 7 hour hike back to Michigan tomorrow afternoon. Friday night's varsity football game was action-filled and plain crazy! I attended the Howell vs Brighton game and it got insane. The Howell team was not to be defeated by their long time rival team the Brighton Bulldogs. Even after being out of high school now for 18 years (ouch, that makes me feel so old), I still get excited attending the hometown games. The varsity team proved to be "warriors" and came out on top in the end: final score 21 to 7! But what is a team without the fans??? Howell has some truly devoted fans, whom, game after game, come to cheer, lift up and just support their team. So, after being asked to photograph the crowd for some upcoming banners, I'll share them here with you. I had a great time and the students were more than happy to participate. Oh, at the end of the game, the students charged the field to congratulate and celebrate with the football players. It was quite a sight to see.

<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_5q8A3XqmiPU/RwiPR6LJbqI/AAAAAAAAAEU/9zxc7uWEdnM/s320/IMG_2599.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5118498514343128738" />
<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_5q8A3XqmiPU/RwiPR6LJbrI/AAAAAAAAAEc/LQ9gfWiyPwA/s320/IMG_2609.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5118498514343128754" />
<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_5q8A3XqmiPU/RwiPSKLJbsI/AAAAAAAAAEk/ym-VYyxoTt0/s320/IMG_2612.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5118498518638096066" />
<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_5q8A3XqmiPU/RwiPSKLJbtI/AAAAAAAAAEs/wuR80PrSJ-I/s320/IMG_2614.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5118498518638096082" />

<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_5q8A3XqmiPU/RwiM-KLJbmI/AAAAAAAAAD0/ocWhdefW2mU/s320/IMG_2580.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5118495976017456738" />
<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_5q8A3XqmiPU/RwiM-aLJbnI/AAAAAAAAAD8/NWAojtqjPFA/s320/IMG_2583.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5118495980312424050" />
<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_5q8A3XqmiPU/RwiM-aLJboI/AAAAAAAAAEE/DM_7OyxqhJU/s320/IMG_2584.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5118495980312424066" />
<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_5q8A3XqmiPU/RwiM-qLJbpI/AAAAAAAAAEM/6oCbhe29FJ8/s320/IMG_2585.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5118495984607391378" />
I told you, the fans go all out for these games. Check this out. Then let's give the Highlander Mascot some props, cuz we know he had to have been HOT in that get up. It was a beautiful night for those of us watching the game in regular clothing. Thanks "M" for always being such a great sport!

<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_5q8A3XqmiPU/RwiRsqLJbuI/AAAAAAAAAE0/vjVfiXivqvU/s320/IMG_2615.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5118501172927885026" />
<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_5q8A3XqmiPU/RwiRsqLJbvI/AAAAAAAAAE8/GBZI9fUZVDk/s320/IMG_2617.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5118501172927885042" />

Now, I am not sure who this player is #86, but he wanted some noise and didn't hesitate to ask for it, so of course, the fans obliged.

<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_5q8A3XqmiPU/RwiVIKLJbwI/AAAAAAAAAFE/zs7bcsaOTv8/s320/IMG_2618.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5118504943909170946" />
<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_5q8A3XqmiPU/RwiVIaLJbxI/AAAAAAAAAFM/Zks3e1zt1uo/s320/IMG_2624.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5118504948204138258" />
<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_5q8A3XqmiPU/RwiVIaLJbyI/AAAAAAAAAFU/zbphsb2DGHs/s320/IMG_2627.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5118504948204138274" />
<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_5q8A3XqmiPU/RwiVIqLJbzI/AAAAAAAAAFc/HyMwfo3KLBo/s320/IMG_2628.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5118504952499105586" />
<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_5q8A3XqmiPU/RwiVIqLJb0I/AAAAAAAAAFk/MEmNdU6nkE8/s320/IMG_2633.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5118504952499105602" />

I know, I have a lot of pics here, of mostly the crowd, hardly the team, sorry. I was there for them, though. Don't doubt me...lol. But now it's time to brag about the Drumline. What can I say? They were great! My husband was with me and when he was in the Howell High School band playing drums some 17 years ago, they didn't do that at the games. They should have and he certainly wished they had. The drumline ALWAYS performs for the crowd and it has come to be a highlight of the evening.

<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_5q8A3XqmiPU/RwiYfaLJb1I/AAAAAAAAAFs/yl5yUH3XVw4/s320/IMG_2635.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5118508641876012882" />
<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_5q8A3XqmiPU/RwiYfqLJb2I/AAAAAAAAAF0/gjA4gkzLnZY/s320/IMG_2638.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5118508646170980194" />
<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_5q8A3XqmiPU/RwiYgKLJb3I/AAAAAAAAAF8/HjMklc2VoGw/s320/IMG_2639.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5118508654760914802" />
<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_5q8A3XqmiPU/RwiYgaLJb4I/AAAAAAAAAGE/iFQDNeCkCMQ/s320/IMG_2641.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5118508659055882114" />
<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_5q8A3XqmiPU/RwiYgaLJb5I/AAAAAAAAAGM/0XFu0q3b6IM/s320/IMG_2643.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5118508659055882130" />

<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_5q8A3XqmiPU/Rwj1sKLJb6I/AAAAAAAAAGU/BbuFhbF51aU/s320/IMG_2646.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5118611115500728226" />

I posted these photos because I wanted to share and show off Howell Pride, but I also posted them for "Nathan", one of the boys who definately got the crowd going. Little J, with the batman shirt, I have been photographing him since he was 6 months old. And now look at him. He has a new baby sister and was in love with her. M and D came up from Georgia and I got some great shots of the girls and the family. I was happy to see them again. Baby J, hanging on mamma's shoulder, what a doll. I cannot wait to continue to watch him grow. Wow, kids grow up so fast, don't they?

<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_5q8A3XqmiPU/RwHAIaLJbhI/AAAAAAAAADM/D9GC-b8nSJ0/s320/BabyD.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5116581902367157778" />
<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_5q8A3XqmiPU/RwHAIaLJbiI/AAAAAAAAADU/xMOZB92YGOo/s320/BabyJ2.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5116581902367157794" />
<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_5q8A3XqmiPU/RwHAIqLJbjI/AAAAAAAAADc/VwIfoT16eSE/s320/D.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5116581906662125106" />
<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_5q8A3XqmiPU/RwHAIqLJbkI/AAAAAAAAADk/JpFwBv4LfOs/s320/J.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5116581906662125122" />
<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_5q8A3XqmiPU/RwHAI6LJblI/AAAAAAAAADs/QJ2g1ODfKD0/s320/M.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5116581910957092434" />

I'm Back!!!

Whew! It's been a while since my last post. Wow, since May. Ouch, does that tell you how busy I have been. It was a CRAZY summer; I hardly actually got to enjoy it, other than a few moments here and there watching my youngest swim in the pool -which she has completely mastered. I am so proud of her. The kids are now back in school, finally, and High School Senior Season is in full force. I am having so much fun with them and it is so nice to catch up with the times. I will definately post some shots of some of my 2008 graduating Seniors, but first, I want to post just a few of the kids that I have photographed this past summer. I have alot, but for now, here are a few

The Simple Things

It was actually nice to take somewhat of a little break today, after spending most of the night working on marketing materials for the HWMS 8th grade dance that I will be photographing next week. It's funny because I am sitting here trying to recall what I did today, but I can't remember. I am feeling a bit overwhelmed with emotions today. Seems that when you think that you have it bad or you may lose sight of the hope you had been holding on to, someone or something happens to you to remind you that you really aren't alone.

Without going into too many details, I just have to say that some really wonderful things happened to me today. Everyone has their days where you just feel tired, run down, and almost exhausted with the happenings of the world. Much of which we have no control over. Well, I have felt that too. But today, some very wonderful people showed me that there still is GOOD to be given by others. The littlest gestures mean a lot. I have to say that today I feel blessed in so many ways. I have the privilege of doing what I absolutely love everyday with the support of my family. I have some great kids, that at times drive me batty, but they are healthy and full of life. My husband still loves me even though I am not the easiest person to live with (I am a control freak). He is such a hard worker and lets me be me. I have the most supportive family ever. My mother went shopping for me today, even though she was just as busy as me. My sister-in-law came over with my niece and nephew and made us dinner (yummy chicken alfredo). One of my best friends decided to email me a surprise, and well, it was a doozy (Thank you Lisa). All of this may seem simple, but after a long hard look at it all, it means the world to me. It just so happen when I needed a little lift, I got it. God is good. So for now, my reflection about life is good. It wasn't a bad day.

Oh, and Bon Jovi was on American Idol and one more day til Grey's Anatomy (can't forget that). Have a good night and count your blessings.

Cutiepatooties!

I would love to introduce my nephew and niece. The two cutest kids EVER! They remind me so much of my older two kids, with their mannerism and attitude. Just like mine when they were that age. I was so happy to photograph them last week, for Ava's 2 year birthday session. It was the quickest and easiest session ever. But they always are. My little guy, Cruz, is the biggest sweetheart and knows how to strike a pose. He is ALWAYS ready with a huge smile for you and hugs and kisses. OH I could just eat them up! Anyhow, I wanted to post a shot or two from their session. Enjoy the cuteness!

<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_5q8A3XqmiPU/RjVVUD8RmDI/AAAAAAAAACM/5YLebDp9DZ8/s320/C.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5059043559564482610" />
<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_5q8A3XqmiPU/RjVVUD8RmEI/AAAAAAAAACU/ZZMMNxhQCHE/s320/A.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5059043559564482626" />
<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_5q8A3XqmiPU/RjVVUT8RmFI/AAAAAAAAACc/myxj-wHtxcs/s320/kids2.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5059043563859449938" />

No Business Today, Just A Beautiful Day

I have to say that today was such an awesome day in general. You gotta love the sun shining bright first thing in the morning. Starts the day off just right. My day started early, 5:30 a.m., because I had to take my daughter, Kayla, to Target to be first in line to purchase the Wii Game System. She saved all her birthday money to make this purchase, and finally, we found somewhere she could actually get one. So following you will see a "snapshot" of Kayla and her brother, Nathan, bowling on the Wii system. Why did I snap this? Well, because this is a VERY rare occurrence - the two of them in the same room together without wanting to pull each other's hair out. On a normal day, they usually bump into each other in the hallway, yell for each to get out of the bathroom before school, and race to see who can get on the bus first. So, honestly, this moment was one I had to document, for the couple of hours spent together yelling at the t.v. was such a sweet moment, for a mother who NEVER seems to get this kind of peace (even if they were betting 50 cents a game).

<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_5q8A3XqmiPU/RjUxOj8Rl_I/AAAAAAAAABs/em1nRP8lHEo/s320/Kids.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5059003882656602098" />

EDIT: Now, just as I was posting this, Nathan and Kayla decided they had enough of getting along and wanted to go back to the way things usually are. So, after breaking them up because Nathan didn't want to pay up his 50 cents, I ran here to edit my lovely post.

My darling, little, sweet Isabella. Oh, how I love her age so. She is five and although she does have her moments, mostly she is such a little doll. Now, I know some family members reading this right now are probably laughing and thinking "who is she talking about?" But as her mother, I say that about 90% of the time my Bella is just the sweetest and cutest gal ever. She was outside all day today with her best friend, Jesse. Those girls are inseparable, and they just love each other. I am so thankful they have each other. Here is a shot of Bella and then one of both girls. Have to add, Bella and Kayla are now playing bowling on the Wii system, and Bella is kicking Kayla's butt : 195 to 145. Go Bella!

<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_5q8A3XqmiPU/RjU32z8RmAI/AAAAAAAAAB0/0XZO0AfkmQc/s320/Bells.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5059011171216103426" />

<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_5q8A3XqmiPU/RjVIVj8RmCI/AAAAAAAAACE/s3-GU2shav4/s320/friends.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5059029291683125282" />

Today my mom, known as Nita, was over for a little while and hung outside with Bella. Here is a quick shot I took while they were trying to communicate with the birds...chirping away. Bella learned to whistle, too. This is not the most flattering shot of my mother, but it does show the love she and Bella share.

<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_5q8A3XqmiPU/RjVEID8RmBI/AAAAAAAAAB8/wL9EG9ZikAc/s320/nita.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5059024661708380178" />

Mother's Day Special

I forgot to post about our "Last Minute Mother's Day Special" mini-sessions.
