It was a crazy, busy day yesterday, so I apologize for not getting to my blog to say Happy Father's Day to all the wonderful father's out there. We had a nice day and my husband was pretty happy. We went to visit my father in the morning, then we were off to put-putting. It was a perfect day for that...and of course, Lenny beat us all. We had a quick lunch at Taco Bell, yummy, then we snuck in to an early show at the Howell Theatre to see Kung Fu Panda. That was a cute movie. Then we headed to my in-laws to eat some yummy roast with my father-in-law. So all in all, it was a fun filled family day. I hope everyone enjoyed spending time with their father and celebrating them.
Now today, it was a new day. I finished another session and have 3 more to go before my next session on Wednesday. So, while sitting at the computer proofing, I had the television tuned on to the U.S. Open with Tiger Woods and Rocco Mediate. It was AMAZING! The best golf I have seen. The whole weekend watching golf, not my typical weekend, but when Tiger is playing, I enjoy it. Yesterday was awesome, to the very end. Watching that last putt by Tiger, sending them into another round of 18 was so exciting. Then today, the whole day was crazy. Neck and neck, then 1 up, even and under, it was just mind blowing and disturbing at the same time. I had knots in my stomach because it was so close to the very end, especially when they had to play another hole, leading into sudden death. I really had such a fun time watching it. I love Tiger Woods! I did feel a bit hopeful for Rocco Mediate, because he played so well and fought to the end, but when it was all done, I was so happy to see Tiger win it. He truly is the best golfer in the world. And although my husband plays golf, and I have attempted to play it, I have never been one to sit and watch it. But years ago, I was mesmerized by this young, cute player named Tiger. His whole story, his background, is so interesting. Today, what made the moment even more special was seeing his wife and soon to be one year old daughter, out on the course with him. It just put a smile on my face.
Anyhow, congrats Tiger! Maybe by some fluke he'll stumble upon my blog and see that I am a fan and maybe ask me to photograph his family. Gosh, what an honor that would be. A girls can dream, right??!
Have a good night!

A Fun Sight to see!
About two weeks ago, my husband and I (and some helpers) went up to the Fowlerville High School for our nephew, Spencer's, last day of high school. We wanted to decorate his truck to show him how much we "loved" him. When we pulled up to the school I was tickled to see what was in the parking lot. Below you will see what I saw, and I had to say it: Only in Fowlerville will you see "autos" like this. It made my day!

After photographing them, we went and continued on with our mission onto Spencer's truck.

My husband, Lenny, surprised Spencer with silly string! Spencer was not amused.

Oh, and then we ran into this unique individual. I saw him earlier and wished I could get a shot of him. And then he walked by, and I had to ask. He was a nice guy who let a crazy lady get a couple of quick shots. I just loved his hair! I appreciate his uniqueness and style.

Now, back to Spencer. We just want to tell him that we are so very proud of him. Seems like just yesterday I was changing his diapers...and now, he is graduating. Unreal I tell you. He truly is a great kid and will definitely go far. We love you Spence, love your aunt nina and uncle smelly :)
Also, Congratulations to Tyler Docusen and Josh Barrett. My other two Fowlerville Seniors of 2008! I wish you all the best!

Final Update for the HOT DAD'S contest
I waited until the last minute, hoping I would have some better news. Unfortunately, I don't. I didn't get enough entries to hold the contest. A total of 8 "Hot Dad" participants; what a bummer. But I want to say thank you to those who did email me with heartfelt words and photos of their nominees. A big thank you to Marilyn, from Last Chance Rescue, who did her absolute best to get more applicants. I am truly sorry that this contest didn't work out, but I promise that I will get creative and think of another way to raise money for that organization. I don't know what it was that I couldn't reel them in; I had a lot of inquiries, which gave me hope. The next fundraiser for Last Chance Rescue will hopefully be a winner.
Thanks all!
Thanks all!
