Stompin' Grounds

What a night! Friday night's varsity football game was action-filled and plain crazy! I attended the Howell vs Brighton game and it got insane. The Howell team was not to be defeated by their long time rival team the Brighton Bulldogs. Even after being out of high school now for 18 years (ouch, that makes me feel so old), I still get excited attending the hometown games. The varsity team proved to be "warriors" and came out on top in the end: final score 21 to 7! But what is a team without the fans??? Howell has some truly devoted fans, whom, game after game, come to cheer, lift up and just support their team. So, after being asked to photograph the crowd for some upcoming banners, I'll share them here with you. I had a great time and the students were more than happy to participate. Oh, at the end of the game, the students charged the field to congratulate and celebrate with the football players. It was quite a sight to see.

I told you, the fans go all out for these games. Check this out. Then let's give the Highlander Mascot some props, cuz we know he had to have been HOT in that get up. It was a beautiful night for those of us watching the game in regular clothing. Thanks "M" for always being such a great sport!

Now, I am not sure who this player is #86, but he wanted some noise and didn't hesitate to ask for it, so of course, the fans obliged.

I know, I have a lot of pics here, of mostly the crowd, hardly the team, sorry. I was there for them, though. Don't doubt me...lol. But now it's time to brag about the Drumline. What can I say? They were great! My husband was with me and when he was in the Howell High School band playing drums some 17 years ago, they didn't do that at the games. They should have and he certainly wished they had. The drumline ALWAYS performs for the crowd and it has come to be a highlight of the evening.

I posted these photos because I wanted to share and show off Howell Pride, but I also posted them for "Nathan", one of the boys who definately got the crowd going. Hope you are enjoying them Nathan.

Gotta love the final score. Way to go Highlanders! Then of course, some shots of what I like to call "The Charging of the Bulls"...when the crowd makes its way to the field, look out Mr. Borders! He almost got trampled over!

Final shot of the evening, some long lost flip flops left behind from chargers. I hope they were recovered. Thanks for looking and don't forget if you haven't had your senior photos taken, give me a call. I'll see you all next Friday night at the stompin' grounds of Howell High Varsity Football. Later!

and some more kids...

Here are a few more cuties that I had the honor to photograph this summer. Little J, with the batman shirt, I have been photographing him since he was 6 months old. And now look at him. He has a new baby sister and was in love with her. M and D came up from Georgia and I got some great shots of the girls and the family. I was happy to see them again. Baby J, hanging on mamma's shoulder, what a doll. I cannot wait to continue to watch him grow. Wow, kids grow up so fast, don't they?

I'm Back!!!

Whew! It's been a while since my last post. Wow, since May. Ouch, does that tell you how busy I have been. It was a CRAZY summer; I hardly actually got to enjoy it, other than a few moments here and there watching my youngest swim in the pool -which she has completely mastered. I am so proud of her. The kids are now back in school, finally, and High School Senior Season is in full force. I am having so much fun with them and it is so nice to catch up with the times. I will definately post some shots of some of my 2008 graduating Seniors, but first, I want to post just a few of the kids that I have photographed this past summer. I have alot, but for now, here are a few
